Customer Service/Supply Chain Specialist who has experience working products manufactured in China or with vendors in China?  If you can answer yes to these questions, you should consider this opportunity.

Our client, which is part of of a publicly held company, is seeking a Customer Service/Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for demand/supply planning for the assigned accounts, including regular interface with suppliers and customers; quality of incoming product; leading implementation of effective inventory management practices to ensure 100% inventory accuracy – right product, right location, right quantity, right labeling; identify and implement productivity improvement projects, including with suppliers, to improve the profitability of the operation; participate in the development of new projects to be launched, and lead project implementation; be a change agent leader, drive the cultural transformation necessary to achieve world class performance by the organization.

As Customer Service/Supply Chain Specialist you will:


  • Be responsible for all order management, quotations, supply chain and customer service processes and performance
  • Own order entry for customer orders, sample orders and color matching orders.
  • Manage and grow in-house accounts and sales. Supports inside and outside sales team.
  • Lead negotiator with suppliers – cost, price increases and lead time.
  • Manage inventory spreadsheets and online forecast.
  • Review inspection report before orders ships out of China, raise concerns with Quality as appropriate and drive to resolution.
  • Advise China purchasing team regarding acceptance of costs, delays and specification changes.  

Your background should include:


  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in supply chain /customer service experience in distribution or manufacturing.
  • Experience with Asian suppliers required
  • MUST be fluent in Mandarin
  • Proven strength in project  management and negotiations
  • Experience implementing successful solutions to complex problems
