Job Description

This group is dedicated to the development of a fully automated regulatory report production system.  This team is in a state of rapid and dynamic change with the intent of excelling amongst our peers in performance and structural efficiency.

This team will provide the strategic oversight and decisions throughout regulatory report production and also throughout data provider, operational, and technology functions to develop and ensure accurate regulatory reporting.

You will act as an advocate for senior management in the execution of important strategic initiatives related to the automated production of regulatory reports.

Accountabilities

  1. Responsible for implementing the automated regulatory reporting solution for in-scope regulatory reports in coordination with business partners throughout the Controller’s Division and corporate functions.
  2. Perform detailed testing, document results and perform research to understand and resolve differences identified
  3. Support of Report Owner responsibilities, as necessary, including but is not limited to
    maintaining line of sight into end to end processes
  4. Partner with support groups (Governance & Oversight, Data Management & Insights, Change Management, and Regulatory Technical Interpretations) to improve the control environment
  5. As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for reporting transformation efforts within the EFR team responsible for the development of a system and reporting logic to produce accurate production of significant regulatory reports such as the FRY-9C, all supporting schedules, FR Y-14Q, FFIEC 031/041, among many other reports.
  6. Will drive transition of reports to the Lombard AgileReporter tool, utilizing the current production processes.
  7. Drive preparations for connecting the future centralized data warehouse (multi-year project) to the AgileReporter tool.
  8. Review and ensure system logic and definitions are consistently applied to similar financial products and work with business partners to ensure data in systems of record are aligned
  9. implement the automated regulatory reporting solution for in-scope regulatory reports in coordination with business partners throughout the Controller’s Division and corporate functions.

Qualifications

Essential Skill Set for the External Financial Reporting Senior Consultant role

  1. Strong understanding and knowledge of financial institutions required.
  2. Knowledge and understanding of regulatory reporting: Federal Reserve, OCC, and SEC
  3. 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting
  4. BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
  5. Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization
  6. Management consulting experience at a top-tier consulting firm is a plus
  7. Experience with general ledgers and accounting policies
  8. Knowledge and understanding of corporate governance, financial reporting systems, legal entities, and role of regulatory authorities
  9. Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity
  10. Knowledge and understanding of capital markets: business and processes
