Planning & Scheduling Supervisor


New Ulm, MN


$55-70K + 10% bonus


 


Our food manufacturing client is looking to add a Planning & Scheduling Supervisor in the New Ulm, Minnesota area to their day shift operations. This Supervisor will supervise the Planning & Scheduling Activities and Contract Services. This role will work with the SAP plant maintenance module as well as all planning and scheduling activities and to assist all shifts while having 5 direct reports.


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Maintain and develop all vendor/supplier support for purchasing.


  • Lead and direct all plant indirect goods and services procurement ensuring proper approvals.
  • Negotiate and procure competitive bids for all items.


  • Enhance safety, reliability and efficiency of assets through the planning and scheduling process.
  • Provide execution on planning and schedule work through partnership with maintenance supervisors.
  • Regulate supplier relationships and conduct annual former evaluations of suppliers as applicable.
  • Work with plant accounting and management team to resolve issues including invoices, receiving and purchasing order discrepancies.
  • Support the maintenance teams on the floor during startup.
  • Serve as the SAP experience and trainer for the site.
  • Work with contracts.

 


Job Qualifications:



  • Bachelors in Business Management or Engineering.
  • 3+ years’ experience in maintenance and purchasing/procurement in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ year working with and participating in LEAN manufacturing principles and activities.
  • 2+ years of proven maintenance supervisory skills/experience.
  • Ability to exhibit and explain LEAN principles is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of broader policies and programs to meet the company’s procurement needs.
  • Ability to proactively identify opportunities to create efficiencies and generate new and creative ideas to support quality, growth and a culture of innovation.
