Seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead, train and motivate a team of inside sales and field-based sales/project management professionals to drive growth within the Municipal and Industrial water infrastructure market.  Primary services include well site investigations, water well construction, well drilling, pump design/installation, well upgrades/rehabilitation, and pump repair/redesign services.


Essential Job Functions Include:


  • Develop and implement a tactical business plan that supports the strategic vision of the company
  • Manage the profitable growth in WI and IL supported by 6-10 inside/outside sales and project management team
  • Provide product and service training as required to ensure the overall technical competency of your sales/project management team
  • Personally manage larger key accounts when appropriate
  • Collaborate with Operations Manager to ensure on time delivery and quality execution of service solutions
  • Train sales/project management team in areas of problem solving and consultative sales techniques
  • Set stretch goals for individuals and team to achieve high performance levels
  • Develop target account strategies and conduct joint sales calls at customer plant locations
  • Provide feedback, coaching and establish career development plans
  • Lead pricing discussions and development and delivery of commercial proposals and customer presentations for all projects
  • Remain current on industry developments and emerging trends (technological, competitive, and environmental)
  • Respond promptly to changing customers demands
  • Travel throughout WI and IL as required to provide support and to drive new growth


Qualifications include:


  • 4-year degree required (Engineering, Science, or Technical degree highly preferred)
  • 3+ years SALES MANAGEMENT experience as Branch Manager, District Manager, Regional Manager or Sales Director of a team of 6 or more sales and/or project management personnel
  • 5+ years SALES or PROJECT MANAGER experience in key areas that include hydrogeology, water well drilling and/or well rehabilitation services, high volume turbine pumps, pump repair and maintenance services, raw water and wastewater treatment equipment, construction of wastewater and surface water treatment plants, pipeline and sewer rehabilitation, well-field design and development, pump installation/storage, and/or aquifer maintenance and remediation services
  • Thorough understanding of a consultative, problem solving, “solutions selling” sales culture
  • Strong aptitude and desire to train, coach, and develop technical sales professionals
  • Clear track record of high sales and sales management achievements
  • Strong business acumen with detailed understanding of key financial performance metrics
  • Use of customer relationship management (CRM) databases such as is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Competency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
